Window Rebates in Oregon: What's Changed in 2026
The straight answer on rebates and tax credits, and how new windows still pay you back.
What Changed
If you've heard about Energy Trust of Oregon window rebates or a federal tax credit for windows, here's the update.
Energy Trust of Oregon window incentives ended January 1, 2026
In 2025 they paid $1.00 to $1.50 per square foot of qualifying windows. Energy Trust discontinued them for Oregon homes starting in 2026.
The federal window tax credit (25C) ended December 31, 2025
Windows installed in 2026 don't qualify. If yours were installed by the end of 2025, ask your tax professional about claiming the credit on your 2025 return.
We'd rather tell you now than have you count on money that isn't coming.
How New Windows Still Save You Money
Lower heating and cooling bills
Modern low-E glass and tight seals keep heat in during winter and out during Rogue Valley summers.
More comfortable rooms
No more cold spots by the window or drafts around old frames.
A quieter home
Double- and triple-pane glass cuts outside noise.
Less upkeep
Today's vinyl, fiberglass and clad-wood frames don't need scraping and repainting.
Other Energy Trust Help
Energy Trust still offers incentives for other home upgrades, such as insulation and heat pumps, including higher amounts for income-qualified households through its Savings Within Reach program. See energytrust.org for current offers.
